What happens in a session

This is not a
talking therapy session.

Each session is tailored entirely to where you are right now. We might work with breath, with the body, with visualisation, with the stories you've been telling yourself. It depends on what you need.

Sessions are 60 minutes and take place via Zoom. You will need a quiet space where you feel comfortable and won't be disturbed.

Kyna recommends a minimum of 4 sessions to experience meaningful, lasting results. Real change takes time and consistency. You are welcome to book one session at a time, but please come knowing that this is the beginning of a process, not a one-off fix.

  • How many sessions will I need? +
    Kyna recommends a minimum of 4 sessions to experience meaningful and lasting results. The first session is often about establishing a foundation and getting to know each other. The deeper work builds from there. You are welcome to continue beyond 4 sessions for as long as feels right.
  • What platform do sessions take place on? +
    All sessions take place via Zoom. You will receive a link when you book. Please make sure you have Zoom installed and that you have a quiet, private space where you feel comfortable and will not be interrupted.
  • Do I need to be going through cancer treatment to work with Kyna? +
    No. Kyna works with people at all stages, whether you are newly diagnosed, currently in treatment, in remission, or living with the long-term emotional impact of cancer, chronic illness, stress or burnout. I also support families and carers too. If you are unsure whether this is the right time, book a session and have that conversation directly.
  • Is this a substitute for medical care or therapy? +
    No. Coaching with Kyna is a complementary offering and does not replace your medical team, GP, or mental health professional. If you are in acute psychological crisis, please seek appropriate clinical support first. Kyna will always be honest with you if she feels another form of support would serve you better.
  • What is your cancellation policy? +
    Please give at least 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice may not be eligible for a refund. Life happens, and Kyna will always try to be flexible where possible.
  • What if I want to do the full 12-week programme instead? +
    The K.Y.N.A. 12-week programme is a separate offering that combines pre-recorded modules, a live community, and live events. If you are not sure whether 1:1 coaching or the cancer recovery programme is right for you, book a session and Kyna will help you figure that out together.
